Kira in the city...Atlantic City that is!

Earlier this week, I went to Atlantic City with my cousin and sister. I am not a big gambler...although my sister and cousin like to say that I am. I do enjoy visiting the slots every now and then. We stayed at Revel. It is such a modern, hip and spacious hotel. We stayed in an Ocean view room. And boy what a view it was!

When we arrived, my cousin lost her wallet inside the taxi cab we took the hotel. We tried to find the cab driver outside but there were so many cabs that looked exactly a like. We went to the security office at the hotel and the guy was so sweet he had my cousin fill out a report. My cousin was almost in tears because the hotel was booked under her name. But a miracle happened and the cab driver returned the wallet to her. When she got the call from the security office she nearly ran to get her wallet back. Inside our hotel room I decided to just relax for a bit. (We went to Atlantic City by bus and that can be tiresome).

If you do go to Atlantic City, you have to eat at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville which is actually at the Resorts Casino. (We had stayed at Resorts last August. It was fun but we wanted to try a new place). While we waited to be seated I went next door to the restaurant's shop. They have such cute things.

The food was awesome and we had the yummiest dessert ever, Chocolate Hurricane. It was delish! Too bad I couldn't have the entire thing (not good for a diabetic). There was a guy on stilts who was making balloons for children. Of course we wanted a balloon animal too.

We hit the night scene on Monday and Tuesday with visits to Mur.Mur at the Borgata Hotel & Casino  and Dusk Nightclub at Caesars Atlantic City Casino. Out of the two places. I honestly enjoyed Mur.Mur best. I guess because the Dj played better music. But we had fun at both locations. 

You can not visit Atlantic City without hitting the outlets which I definitely went to on Tuesday. I think I made stops at every store. Okay maybe not all the stores but I did visit J.Crew Factory, Forever 21, H&M, The Gap, Oldnavy, Fossil where I scored such a cute watch! 

Now if you are wondering if I gambled...I definitely did! I played $20 on a slot. Unfortunately I had lost most at that machine. However, I moved to another machine and guess what? I won $1427!!!! How crazy is that?! I became what my cousin calls a "Thousandaire" LOL My machine made all these kinds of sounds it was really exciting! I treated the girls to dinner that night and they had a joke going around that I was "Royal" for the night. So they kept calling me "Princess or Your Highness" LOL It was pretty funny! 

What did I do with the rest of my money? I gave the girls each $100 and put the rest into my savings account. As much as I wanted to spend the money on clothes, I remembered that one of my goals this year was to save money. I may book a trip this summer though... lol
